Noir afficionado Ray Ottulich has notified me of a cool original noir short he has produced and posted on Vimeo: Tony Mars A Case of Murphy’s Law. Ray’s movie uses a lot of original footage shot by him in Hudson, NY, the location for the bank heist in the classic noir Odds Against Tomorrow. Very atmospheric!

Most impressive noir short here from Ray Ottulich! It’s dark for sure, but the lights are well integrated and the jazzy score and naration are piercingly employed.
I never realized that the heist scene in ODDS AGAINST TOMORROW was filmed in nearby Hudson, N.Y.! Ha!
Hudson still has a lot of great buildings. The bank used for the heist is now a county office building BTW on Warren St.
