The very talented Fabrice Mathieu from France has produced a great video homage to noir based on clips from over 50 movies as a prequel to a full feature movie script he has written.
In the short a ‘shadow’ narrates its life story. The soundtrack includes extracts composed by Roque Banos and Danny Elfman using the Theremin, a musical instrument used to wonderful effect in Billy Wilder’s The Lost Weekend (1945) and Anthony Mann’s Raw Deal (1948).

Wow! Fantastique indeed Tony!
From the opening images when that indeptedness to “Psycho” was evident, I identified a fair number of other films that were references. great to see “The Third Man” and the chase in the sewers present. Haunting narration by Roger Candy, and some impressive editing! Mathieu is a major talent.
