I just came across this book of film noir posters from the classic period of film noir: Crime Scenes: Movie Poster Art of the Film Noir : The Classic Period : 1941-1959 by Lawrence Bassoff (Paperback).

It’s an interesting book but I was rather annoyed to find that all the posters have been printed in three colors instead of four. This means that everything looks rather washed out, especially where there are meant to be areas of solid black. It is strange because the text is in black but no black printing on the images.
